The Fun We've Had This Fall
We've had a lot of fun adventures this fall, and I thought I'd capture them with some photos!
Disney On Ice
(The Little Mermaid portion was clearly a big hit!)
Fall Harvest Jamboree at Wagner Farm. The kids danced all the way to bedtime. The musicians loved the action!
Cassidy dresses up daily, usually during her afternoon quiet time in her room. We never know what she'll be dressed as when she emerges.
This one was meant to be a 1-shoulder dress, like one of her princess dolls. She's resourceful - her undies made the perfect top!
One morning we woke up to a big rainfall. Cassidy and Gavin wanted to jump in "muddy puddles" like their favorite cartoon characters - Peppa and George from "Peppa Pig."
Cassidy's getting in touch with her sporty side lately - soccer and rock climbing are lots of fun.
The Wilmette Fire Department held a fun open house!
Mondays are the only day of the week that both kids are off school, so we try to find new adventures each week. On this day, we went to Glenview to check out a place called "The Grove" - a wildlife center that is a popular field trip spot for schools. We got to pet baby turtles, touch snakes and watch deer cross our walking path. The kids took a seat on this bench for a photo op - someone must have been telling jokes! Once they start the giggles, it's hard to stop!
When the air turned cooler, we used our backyard fire pit to make s'mores. A huge hit.
Raking leaves; I told Cassidy to make her best funny face.
Who doesn't love jumping in leaf piles? It has been a wonderful fall!
