Father/Daughter Dance 2015

Erik and Cassidy tore it up at another fun Father/Daughter dance!  It was a Valentine's Day theme and both father and daughter had a fantastic time!  Cassidy was SO excited to wear this fancy red dress that was handed down to her from her cousins Emily and Ellie.

Gavin Turns 100 (for the 100th day of Kindergarten!)

The Kindergarteners all dress up as "100 year olds" to celebrate their 100th day of Kindergarten.  We think Gavin makes a cute Grandpa!  Love you buddy!

Showcase SFX 2015

Our kids' elementary school puts on an annual black tie fundraiser called Showcase.  It gives the school parents the chance to have a fancy night on the town amongst great friends - it's always a really fun time!  Each year has a new theme...this year it was Bond/007, so Erik broke out the bow tie and I found a sparkly dress.  Here are a few pics from the evening (and thanks, Grammy & Grandpa Brown, for taking care of the rascals for us!).
I worked hard on this hair, ha ha.  A big effort for me compared to my weekday ponytails!
Arriving at the venue
Our super fun table...although not the best group photo (missing a few key faces)!
Not even sure how this picture turned green!  Lots of laughs!
Fun on the dance floor!

Key Lime Cove (also known as "best day ever")

We had an open weekend pop up in January and decided to take the kids (and ourselves) on an adventure to Key Lime Cove.  It's a giant indoor water park attached to a hotel 40 minutes north, just off the expressway (glamorous! ha ha).  We had some wintertime cabin fever and needed a change of pace that would match the high energy level of the kids.  Mission accomplished.  We spent 2 days going down giant waterslides, meandering through the lazy river and splashing around in wave pools.  There was also a huge arcade for times when you needed a pool break, and this was equally popular with the kids.  We stayed on site for dinner (enjoyed an extra margarita since our hotel room was just upstairs!  They thought this place through!) and the kids got such a kick out of having our family of 5 all stay in 1 giant room together.  They are already begging to go back and Gavin proclaimed it the best 2 days of his life.  (We're trying not to focus on the fact that Tyler came home with what seems like every virus under the sun...he's recovered just fine!).  I don't have many pictures since I didn't want to worry about my phone during our pool time...but I snapped a few!
Gavin, photographer!
Arcade fun

Tyler went a little crazy with the kiddie drinks!
The best shot I could get of the pool...the pineapple drink at the top tips over when it fills with water...endless fun.
